El fenómeno Jordan B. Peterson (Edmonton, Canadá, 1962) es tan mediático y controvertido que escapa a mis límites literarios. Hay una imponente cantidad de estudio detrás de las frases más coloquiales e impactantes de este pensador, que se ha convertido en un fenómeno mediático mundial. Con tales precedentes, no es de extrañar que su libro '12 Rules for Life' (Random House Canada, 2018) se haya convertido en unos pocos meses en un éxito editorial en todo el mundo.

Sin embargo, Peterson hace una pirueta narrativa por la cual los argumentos biológicos adquieren cualidades morales: “No podemos percibir el mundo sin una jerarquía ética. Sin orden se impone el vacío ético y moral".

Brillante ejercicio de la razón contra la moral. Que consiste en que la frailesa quiere encalomarle expresiones pecaminosas al pensador, muy agresivamente, y este va puntualizando una por una (no es eso lo que he dicho), y aprovechando para poner datos de interés sobre la mesa. Pero a la moral no le interesa el conocimiento, le interesa el pecado. Y especialmente el pecador. Y así una vez tras otra, en fintas y regates sin parar. Al final lo que queda es un destrozo notable de la ideología. Pero elegante, sin sangre.

La pregunta que me gustaría hacerle a todo el mundo es «¿Cómo puede usted inspirar a la gente a valorar la verdad y la razón y cómo puede hacer crecer el debate civilizado, razonado y productivo en el mundo?».
