El alemán de BMW logra la pole en el circuito británico de Brands Hatch Indy en el campeonato de DTM. Segundo ha sido Rockenfeller, por delante de Farfus, líder del mundial. Spengler saldrá quinto, mientras que Paffet y Ekstrom no han pasado ni a Q3. Por su parte, Molina partirá décimo, mientras que Merhi y Juncadella lo harán desde la vigésima y vigésimo segunda plaza.

The first round of the season has seen Jason Plato take the win for both race one and two with Matt Neal taking the win in race three. All three races were with the normal drama and with the new soft tyre option being chosen for race three by the majority of riders there was a lot of expectations in place.
